Quality and craftsmanship

Every piece of furniture is the result of skilled craftsmanship. Our blacksmiths work with the greatest attention to detail, carefully ensuring the continuation of Grythyttan Stålmöbler's history and traditions.

Each piece is made from the finest spring steel. The secret behind the characteristic rocking sensation of our chairs is found in the base, which is manufactured at our factory in Grythyttan using a process that cannot be automated as it requires a human touch and experience to ensure perfection.

The raw materials are carefully checked before production begins. Each piece of furniture is afforded the time it takes to manufacture, with each piece of wood, bend and screw imbued with professional pride, a feeling for the material and superb craftsmanship. This is why we only produce a limited number of pieces of furniture each year, and this is what makes us Grythyttan Stålmöbler.

All our production still takes place in Grythyttan, which is a both natural and a given for us as we want to maintain total control over our exacting standards. All the wood we use is sustainably sourced, and the steel found in our furniture is of the highest quality. So, if you find an A2 in your grandma's garden, at a cafe somewhere in Sweden or even in another country, it may well be over 80 years old. The wooden components might have been replaced, but the frame will be the original.
